KRNZ Now Spanish

Well Radio Libertad, based in Corpus Christi, is another legal Spanish Christian network I've read about, on these boards in fact. So the good ones are definitely out there, but a little few and far between.
You know, maybe one of these groups can rent KITG and get Tellez some much-needed money, as well as successfully keeping it on the air? Still dead air with transmitter on AFAIK.

It just doesn't seem like Tellez has a good plan for KITG because it's just on and silent, and I honestly don't know how long this will last.

KITG, broadcasting silence... Again. Been like that for a couple weeks at least. What a sad little station!

If this continues I will try to get ahold of them directly to let them know every time I notice it down, since nobody else seems to care at all about it. At least it gets fixed when I post on these forums...

What'd you know? It got fixed already. Less than a day later.
Here is the ID it airs, which is for the wrong station. http://sndup.net/2655/d
I looked up 93.3 KLIT (the station in the ID), and it's the same owners. At least it seems so because both KITG and KLIT use the same mailing address, according to Radio Locator. I guess they simulcast them off their Laredo station at home base and just haven't updated the ID.

Whoever it is getting this station fixed, can you make an account already if you don't have one, and PM me with some contact info? This seems to happen a lot with KITG's feed getting dropped, and it's probably better if I tell you directly.

I haven't heard it since at least December and it's like they just forgot about it again. What a shame.

Long fall from its days as an Air 1 affiliate, eh Mouse? What's Marantha been running on it when it does come to life? Hard to believe it would double up what 97-7 or 106-3 is doing for nothing. Could be the problem right there, they don't have programming lined up for it and therefore they've reduced the expense of operations by shutting it down. Maybe a case of hunting for the next lessee, and coming up empty. I doubt there's much of a waiting line of suitors to program 88-1 FM in Gonzales, Texas.

Of course, there certainly weren't many lining up to take over the longtime Gonzales AM facility, either.

They had a Spanish Christian music variety mix with a couple English songs here and there, they called it Radio Luz.
LOL yeah, long fall. I wonder how their flagship station in Laredo is doing.

From RadioInsight:
"Maranatha Church of Laredo sells Silent 88.1 KITG Gonzales TX to Sun Radio Foundation for $10,000. Sun operates the AAA “Sun Radio” network heard in Austin and the Texas Hill Country."

Awesome! I'm sure Sun will be able to keep it on the air with good music. :)

Maybe they could try going after 88-1 in Round Rock, but last I heard he didn't want to sell. I think it's still struggling though....

Wow 10K for 88.1. Sun Radio is KDRP-LP in Dripping Springs. This is likely the only LPFM to lease enough translators to be heard from Fredericksburg through Austin, not heading East. They show in the Austin ratings!
