But for how much longer? I really hope they dont turn it into a talk station, I dont think I would ever turn to them again while they are on a talk format.<P ID="signature">______________

I just heard today at 4 k-rock will be set free. Lets just hope its something else, or at least I do other than talk radio. I like talk radio but only on AM.

I've heard that too; it's either "Free FM" or possibly set "free from a limited playlist" which would mean a "Jack" type format. KBPA nearly topped KSRX in the latest trends and that indicates an interest in the "Jack/Bob" format here in San Antonio. A "Jack" format would do much better than "Free FM", but "Free FM" (and I maybe entirely wrong on this) is probably not very expensive to run and appears to be the direction CBS is headed with many of their "former FM Rock stations".

The flip happens today at 4pm.

I was told yesterday that 102.7 will be Jack. It will be interesting to see if Cox tweaks Magic 105.3 or flips 106.7 to something different.

Does anyone think that dance will ever come back to the airwaves of San antonio? I always thought dance would work out in San antonio if it was done right, I doupt that cox would flip 1067 back to dance. I would think it might help out digital 104 if they would of kept doing the dance over the weekends.

I listened to K-Rock more yesterday afternoon than I have in months. Funny thing is, I heard the same two Pearl Jam and AC/DC tracks that I'd heard on K-Rock months before when I sampled it. Those were memorable because I hadn't heard them on the radio in probably a decade. That was definitely one tired playlist.
