Krok Talk

Okay, 6 minutes in to day one of Krok Talk and I'm thinking: Cumuless hired a bad Sam Kinison impersonator from Macon? Just what I thought he would be: Loud, screaming till the veins in his neck bulge. And if he's been in the station since noon, his opening screamfest is the best he can do?

He better be drinking lots of water. As a dog trying to mark his territory, he's gonna get dehydrated real fast.

Sheesh. Macon's loss is Macon's gain.

>>His Yelling reminds me of Glenn Beck

>Exactly what i thought when i heard him...

Yeah, I guess that's what he's after, but he's overdoing it a bit. Beck never gave me a headache like I have now.

That is also what I came away with. He's got a bullhorn and it sounds like he's going to be one of those guys who likes be on stage at Tea Party protests. Lord, why can't these guys be satisfied hosting happy hours and giving away station t-shirts?

KSKY is billing themselves as "intelligent talk." I don't think I've heard anyone yelling on there.
Other than Ed Wallace, I've stopped listening to KLIF.

I'm not usually one to pine for the past, but in this case I truly miss the days of Kevin McCarthy and David Gold. This new guy is awful.

Same here. I'd try to catch JD's show in the afternoons since he discussed many current local issues, and did so in a professional manner without being belligerent.

There is a thing that was invented called a microphone, maybe Krok has heard of it. Technology has evolved by leaps & bounds since the days of Alexander Graham Bell yelling "Watson - come here!" You really don't have to yell into a mic any more.

JD was good ! David Gold & Kevin McCarthy were good ! Any of them would be a big improvement over most of KLIF's current lineup.

SOUNDBITE:

You took the words right out of my mouth! The Sam Kinison of talk radio...with one big exception...Sam Kinison was funny! I had pretty much made up my mind to tune out KLIF in the afternoons when they took away The Wells Report, but just happened to catch a bit of Krok's show when I was scanning stations. I was able to listen to that crap for about 3 minutes before I just couldn't stand it a second longer! Boy did KLIF mess this one up! What on earth were they thinking with this Hack?????
