Update; apparently today's broadcast was a "test transmission", and lasted a few hours....

That explains why I can't get them today at just before 6 PM at Indian Wells; under the previous country format they came in fairly well on the car radio (but not indoors).

The Dodgers prohibit station streaming. Even the flagship station KABC has to block it out. We here at KPSI 920 were initially unaware of it but they let us know quickly ! Same with the Angels.

MLB prohibits stations streaming its programming. I believe it's part of the collective bargaining agreement between the league and the players. I remember working for KFRU in Columbia, MO not quite 10 years ago when our newsroom got a call stating that we were streaming St. Louis Cardinal games and that we needed to stop immediately. I didn't hear the call, but I still remember Brendan's face as he walked out of the newsroom. His face was contorted, and his ears were so red it looked like they were about to burst into flames!

Ironically, the following weekend, I was doing my airshift at the sister AC station, and the KFRU newsline would ring to our studios on the weekends as the newsroom was not staffed after 12 noon on Saturdays and Sundays. I got several calls from irate Cardinals fans in other markets asking what the **** happened to their favorite program. I even got a bomb threat from one of them! I explained the situation and told him to see MLB.com for more information. He said, "You mean I have to bomb someone else instead?!"

To hear baseball online you have to buy the Gameday Audio package on MLB.com, the only other way I know of is to tune into the teams station thru globaltuners.com
