If and when someone posts a playlist, I'm sure we'll be happy to comment.
______________

Better yet KM, they should stream on the net not only the main stations, but the sister HD-2s as well.

My thoughts, a Active Rock format should have the KIOZ/San Diego feel. A 50/50 mix of Current and Classic Hard Rock. Core Artists would include System of a Down, Sevendust, Puddle of mudd, Van Halen, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Filter, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Candlebox, White Zombie(and Rob Zombie), Smashing Pumpkins, Rush, Pink Floyd, Velvet Revolver, Doors etc etc.

Rock 105-3 has had some success with this formula in San Diego and I think this kind of mix could work for HD-2 in LA. What do you think all?
______________

Re: KROQ-2: How could I forget...

To also mention Aerosmith and Black Sabbath(Ozzy Osborne's band and his solo stuff!)

Basically, Kevin Weatherly should play both hard rock from KROQ and the Old Arrow's/KLOS's playlists. That's how Rock 105-3 in San Diego works.

Re: KROQ-2: Does Any Of This Matter?

All of this talk is just wonderful - EXCEPT - that we're looking at seeing 3% penetration of all radios by 2010 for HD ... Maybe it will be a small revenue stream for terrestrial radio - but for the most part - it'll probably be 10 years before the mass audience will be able to hear these channels.

So for radio geeks it's great - but for the average person - this isn't really going to be relevant for a decade.
