KROQ nation's top biller in 2005

Updated figures moves them into first place. From R&R...

"The change moves Clear Channel AC WLTW/New York to fourth place from first, with $58.9 million in revenue. CBS Radio's Alternative KROQ/Los Angeles leaps to first place, with $67.6 million in 2005 revenue, while CBS all-Newser WINS/New York places second in the readjustment, with $60.8 million in reported income."

Hardly surprising news, as David has pointed out their high billing in many threads previously.

The "format adjustment" (as Glenn puts it) at Star may very well be Clear Channel's attempt to get some of the business that won't fit on KROQ. (Although I believe Star will still skew female and KROQ's numbers are strongest among male listeners.)<P ID="signature">______________

Star did not format flip - they altered the mix of their playlist. As they have done every few years since their inception, they have changed it up a little, but it has always been the same overall type of music aimed at the same target demo. This has been a big yawn.
