KROQ stands at 1.4 overall in latest share survey.

The KLOS playlist is a little too all over the board for its own good. They need to exercise moderation on the deep cuts and the 90s alt product (Weezer, as an example) and play more classic rock hits.

If they tighten the playlist, the complaint will be that it's too limited, too repetitive, and too boring. The porridge is always either too cold or too hot for the audience. But yes, if they tighten the play list, it will likely result in higher share. It's a similar issue at WBOS in Boston. The one thing I note is that the addition of Kevin Ryder to the staff hasn't helped the ratings.

I couldn't see one of the KLOS listings, but the top songs list looked like there was something there for most rock fans, pretty well rounded. Maybe not 90s heavy enough for some (no Soundgarden, for example?), but there probably is a reason for that.

Looking over the LA December 6+ ratings, what is surprising to me (as someone in the PNW) is how low the NPR station appears to be rated, compared to Seattle, where I live. Definitely, living in the sun must alter one's perspectives. :)
