Well just out of the blue KRST has gone from a 3.9 to a 5.6 putting them at the top for the first time in probably over two decades! KBQI is down to a 3.6 a full 2.0 behind! Also noticeable is that KABG and KDRF have had much improved numbers since the flips at 104.7 and 101.3 in the spring even though neither was doing that great. KABG is tied with KKOB at #2 with 5.2 for the second month while KDRF has moved into the mid-to-upper 3s and now has this "Greg the intern" taking random calls perhaps an attempt to add some kind of personality to the station.
It looks like 101.3 The Hustle is not catching on, down to a 0.4 as Hot 95.1 has risen to the high 2s. La Zeta is at 0.6 while KLVO has moved up to 3.1. It seems unfortunate for them, but is there anything else they could do? Is every commercial niche taken at this point?
KKSS has rebounded, so AGM has four stations above a 3.0, KKRG is one exception and KJFA may have been a summer fad. I suppose "Mix" is acceptable enough to them since anything else probably wouldn't do much better. KIOT slipped a bit last month but has returned to it's usual numbers while KZRR is still going strong. The Edge and The Pit are both down, so perhaps new rock really is near dead in the 2020s. iHeart should probably do something else with 100.9 which has managed to do even worse than The Breeze. It's certainly is not impacting KKSS in any way. Perhaps they should just put Santa back on until they figure something out... or just leave it on year round.
