KRSX 105.3 MOVE

As reported today on radio-info news. Not so fast. It is only an application so far. First of all it's app. to remain silent because they can't afford a generator for a 400 watt ERP facility in Yermo seems lame. Second, the proposed move is to 29 Palms which is not in the Palm Springs market. No portion of the predicted contour covers any part of the market. In it's app. to move from Yermo to 29 Palms and downgrade from a B-1 to an A I seem to recall seeing a request for a waiver on short spacing from the San Diego 105.3. If they think Barstow is an economically depressed area, well 29 Palms-Yucca Valley is even worse. Since the newspaper article mentioned they want to move to the Palm Springs market I think this might be the first step of a 2 part move maybe eventually going to 105.1 and relocating to a Coachella Valley c.o.l. (?)
