KRTH- Is it an ad or a call in segment?

I was listening to Hollywood Hamilton at 7:40 this morning. Came out of a song and
went into a live call in segment. HH: "Let's see who's on the HOTLINE." Cohost says
on the phone is the director of a new movie "My date with Drew." A short interview
segment follows.

I tune in at 9:40. Song is ending. And the entire segment I heard at 7:40 repeats.

Question: Was this a paid advertisement under the guise of a call-in segment? During
the repeat broadcast at 9:40 no one say "hey, lets repeat that interview we had
at 7:40 this morning."

My guess it was an ad. What do you think?

If you have to ask, you already have your answer.

The facts presented in no way make a case that this was an ad.

Few people will hear a segment played two hours apart in and near morning drive. Forgive me for missing the rule that says a repeated feature must be tagged as such.

Alternatively, if this *was* a commercial announcement and wasn't ID'd as a paid feature, KRTH has an FCC violation on its face (only if anyone complains to the complacent FCC).

Say, do you think Hollywood rigged it? :p

With many morning shows, it is not uncommon to have segments or bits replayed at a later time in the AM, due to the fact that there is a substantial tunrover in audience from 6am to 8am. I think LA's unusually long commutes discourage that practice to a point, but it has been known to happen.

That being said, (opinion in progress) Hollywood is as appropriate on KRTH as Rich Capparella would be on Latino 96.3. Tuna or Dees should have been the guy. Heck, Dees WAS the guy...but where that fell apart, we may never know.
