ABC Dunhill Records

In the mid 80's they moved to Roscoe & Tampa, in Northridge (right next to a giant Flower Shop and Mexican Restaurant, El Indio), to re issue many of their Titles on CD. Who made the 45's with the Circle of Colors, wasn't it them? Thanks to Doctor Wu for the Great Website on Record Labels!

How about the UNI label? I recal it had a spiral effect of some sort.

Remember Argo records? The vinyl was about twice as thick as the thin Capitol ones. And did you ever see the British Beatles pressings, with little bumpy ridges between the paper label and the grooves?

Yep, mustard yellow with a rainbow swirl that began at the spindle hole and worked to the outside of the label.

Yep, the old Chess pressings were all like that - Chess, Checker, Cadet, Argo and Jubilee too, who I think press their stuff at the same plant.

Yeah, the "45 lock"! Too keep stacked 45s on a changer from slipping. I'd forgotten about those!

We're way off topic now, but here's a great resource for label photos and histories and such:
