What is the reason K-earth 101 can not stream Beatles songs?
No one asked, so I will. What does the stream play when KRTH plays a Beatles song? Is it blank or do they run an alternative song the same length? ???JohnnyOhJohnny said:What is the reason K-earth 101 can not stream Beatles songs?

So I don't know all the legal intracacies involved here, but I'll note that you can't download Beatles songs from itunes or any other (legal) provider on the internet - not even if you're willing to pay for them.

EasyBakeOven said:I assume the original post was regarding "The Beatles Brunch" on K-Earth. They cannot stream that show because of The Digital Millennium Copyright Act which states:
"A Webcaster must comply with the “sound recording performance complement,” which prohibits a Webcaster from transmitting within any given three hour period: (A) more than three different songs from the same album if more than two such songs are transmitted consecutively or (B) four different songs by the same artist (or four different songs from the same compilation) if more than three such songs are transmitted consecutively."
As far as I know, KLOS also does not stream their Breakfast With The Beatles for the same reason.
So, it has nothing to do with The Beatles themselves. If it were The Monkees Brunch or Breakfast With Led Zeppelin, the rules would still apply.
