KRVA 1600 AM

Appears to be running Jones Radio Network's AC format. One of the DJs referenced www.thisradiostation.com to take a survey...the site belongs to JRN. Seems to be straight off the network feed...no sort of local drops, etc.

AS I said Mortensen bought it and it is now on a computer located in the same bldg. as KKGM,KHVN,KGGR.

Heard the guy this morning doing a break comparing peanut butter to the flu...sometimes "smooth" and sometimes "chunky"...really top-notch humor, eh?

Does anybody know about this new format?? It's mind-boggling to me.

(That could have happened.)

Well, yes. That's what did happen, around 1993 following a sale to Entravision and the switch of the call letters from KSSA. The slogan was changed from "Radio Variedades" to "La Dinamita" in 1998, then to "La Buena" in 1999.

It sounds like 1600 has had many formats since it ended Talkradio in early 1987.
