There's been no notice of resumption of normal operations, and the last STA on the KRVN DA repairs was filed in November and approved just before Christmas...so I don't know if it's back on the DA-N. Just after sunset in Denver tonight, it had a steady, quite usable signal, though not the scorcher that it sometimes can be. By way of comparison for the picture below, KOA shows up with 68-70 "dBµ" on the Tecsun's signal-strength reading; KRVN was ranging from 40 to 44. (Edit: half an hour later it was up to 50.) Most nights last month, KRVN was much weaker.

Up real early this a.m. to catch a flight for a business trip, at 5:10 a.m. CT got KRVN really clear.
It remained strong even in my car on the drive to the Austin airport.
Still, it could be nulled, but, the station came in much stronger than before.
It was airing a program on hunting, IIRC. Then, after 6 a.m., a historical program on cowboys and the early settlements of Texas, the rowdiness of the young cowboys in the forts, etc. I believe it was a syndicated show.
Still more interesting fare than "all politics, all the time" as heard on the talk stations.
It remained strong even in my car on the drive to the Austin airport.

Today, after sunrise, around 8 a.m. CT in the Austin area, it was coming in well.
Moved the radio to my office, which is more staticy, but the station faded and was almost gone in the guest bathroom, on the floor where the bath/shower meets the wall. There, reception is best in the whole house.
Imagine the station was on its 50kw day signal, which allowed me to catch it shortly before the Spanish language station in Conroe, Texas, in the Houston area, becomes stronger.

I know the backstory for the KRVN DA problems, not what's being done.

What's I'm hearing on KRVN tonight in Denver: 4 bars out of 5...the active tuner is in the middle...with some fading about every 10-15 minutes. Generally a very listenable signal.
Why do you have two tuners?

Seriously, the top one is for HD; the middle one is an NAD tuner from 1990 with excellent performance on both AM and FM.
i think you are a bit south of the main night lobe. . they were killer... every night when i was in laramie for 2 years
The pattern is a cardioid, so no lobe as such. I think there may be a little groundwave/skywave cancellation kicking in every so often.
I've actually done that, and found that the audio coming out of the HDT-1X is about half a second behind the audio from the NAD 4300. This is true whether AM or FM and when the HDT-1X is tuning an analog signal. There seems to be a little buffering going on with the Sangean at all times.
