Krykey Personal Radio

Hey gang while I was tinkering around the web and looking at Live365 and Loudcaster through Google a site came up called Krykey Personal Radio. I checked them out and they seem to have a lot of stations that stream through them... I have never heard of them before and to be honest the "Almost Sounds To Good To Be True" instinct started to kick in. Has anybody ever used them before and are they legit? Are they Sound Exchange Friendly meaning that they are getting paid? Judging by the fact they say they are totally free I am guessing that either they insert a lot of ads which could be a turnoff for some... They say unlimited listeners which was another red flag for me, but I am really curious... Is it compatiable with SAM Broadcaster? Have a good day and thanks for any responses... CC1

I use them and they are great
answers to your questions and more:
1) they are not based in the USA and they are not a US company
2) they have over 3,000 radio stations and growing daily across all the world
3) they stream at up to 320K depending on the bitrate you have your music at
4) all their legal info in on the site from legal link (as I said they are not in the USA)
5) this is their beta system and their new version is out soon and will have more libraries
6) libraries include : music, promos/drops, adverts, news, sound effects (new ones coming including YouTube and SoundCloud)
7) my radio station has over 2,000 listeners per week and rising
8) you can embed the player in a web page or Facebook
9) its free to use, no audio adverts

hope this helps

just took a look at this looks really good..listened to a 70's stream that sounded fine..now since this is based out of the USA..does that circumvent the royalty issues ??..still need to find out if i can use a web cam with it though...thanks..cl

ooops hit post too soon...finally i tried to send them an email ..but it would not go through..how do you contact them??

The royalties part is what I want to know about, but I to have sent an email and yet to have a response back from them... After having issues with SWcast I am very nervous about the whole streaming thing, but like I say Krykey is almost too good to be true... Thanks for the help... CC

i couldn't get an email to go through..was denied..but they do have a facebook page and i got swift answers there...so try that..
