KRZ night dj

Hey everyone needs to wake up and stop caring about the stupid 92.1 station, woohoo another a/c station that will probably play the same old stale music we hear on magic/rock107/krz. Anyway doesnt anyone find it troubling that krz is going w/o a dj nightime? They sell the 'hot 9 at 9' to advertisers and all they do is play 9 songs in a row. I know they fired the night dj, but cmmon put on somebody while ur looking. Nightime is when all the young audience is listening, the people who are most likely to buy stuff thats advertised to them! but what do i know, im making sense right! haha. I just think entercom is getting cheap, put someone on at least until you find someone. I know everyone listens to krz anyway no matter what, but for the pride of the station put someone on at night! the hot 9 at 9 used to be such a huge thing for me growing up and alot of ppl, but now entercom just wants to go on the cheap, and if they continue it, it's sad. Stop worrying about stupid 92.1 who cares! the way radio is going in nepa im gonna get a satelite radio, this market is really starting to get on my nerves, plus i wanna listen to howard. let me know what u guys think, although it'll probably totally be off base!

Agreed 100% The way things are going I would rather listen to an All-Polka station. Don't laugh---that would CLEAN UP in this market!!!

Also agreed 100% As I have said before here, it's so very sad that it's gotten to the point where so-called broadcasters would rather go this way than give their sponsors anmd listeners the dignification of a live show. If I were one of their sponsors I would file a class-action suit for mis-representation.

Also agreed 100% They'll put on a voice-tracked or no-jock format and as someone already said here whatever they put on is going to suck, so what's the diff????

This is what I am hearing on the "grapevine"....

1. -- they are looking for someone.
2. -- they didnt feel satisfied with their current staff to put someone in the night job on a temp. basis.

I disagree with the second one though. I have been listening to their weekend crew more lately. Some jocks would be too old sounding but some would fit at least for now. I heard the girl on sunday afternoons (didnt catch her name) but she needs some polishing but could be a great fill-in night jock. I think Fishboy is good but seems to try too hard and I miss the old hyper days when night jocks were the craziest on the station. The only other one I heard was two saturday mornings ago. I think his name was Luke or Lukus? It was like 7am and he was doing something with a caller, and I actually laughed at 7am on a weekend! He seems like he would be a good fit as well. Anyways thats my opinion.

What was the former jock in the nighttime spot like? I am actually interested in the job, and from a land far-far-away, so i wanted to get a feel for the station.

I brought up this point not too long ago. No one talks about what is happening on air with the jocks. I guess everyone is afraid they might offend someone. I think it's crazy KRZ has no night jock, BHT no full time nights etc. Yet no one wants to talk about anything but stupid Christmas songs and non-existent format changes.

As I said earlier (and as we've ALL seen happen) it's not a matter of offending someone. It's a matter of the threads degenerating into childish personal attacks. Just take a look at some of the threads from the last two weeks.

I agree, but the moderators of this board are urging us to be kinder and gentler...so really that's all there IS to talk about.
