Surprised to see this news today. Hutch had been part of the show for nearly seven years, and Staci had been on KS95 afternoons for 23 years.
I knew the show was performing well in the ratings and key demos a few years ago, but I haven’t heard much about its recent performance. Personally, I enjoyed listening to them, although the show seemed to lose a bit of its chemistry after producer Alex was let go. From the outside, it sounded like the remaining team was being asked to do more with fewer resources. They also quietly ended their podcasts last fall without any announcement, which now seems notable in hindsight.
I’ll definitely miss the show. Does anyone know what happened? There are plenty of possible explanations to speculate about, but I’m curious whether anyone has any firsthand or industry insight into the decision.
