KSAU Nacogdoches 90.1 audio issue

It's constantly making an annoying high pitched test tone in the left speaker on 90.1, 3800 hz or so. It gets louder during the quiet parts of songs... I bet it's just someone at the student run rock station not knowing how to set the board. Never really heard any other stations doing it. Here's what the tone sounds like, found a video of an example.

Probably an amplifier in the audio chain oscillating. I once had an Optimod do the same thing. It was a bad capacitor on one of the power terminals of an opamp.

I see. Didn't know they would make that noise when not working correctly. Hope they can get it fixed. It's a big university so I imagine so.

Is anyone able to listen online? The link on their site for that leads to an IP address, and doesn't load. Home
