KSBJ HD-2 NGEN off

Two afternoons now - and I am stuck DX'ing their 99.5 translator from Cypress. Or Air-1.

What is really annoying is that my HD radio defaults back to KSBJ's main channel, which is of no interest whatsoever to me.

Well...it is back as of 8pm.

Yeah - still on Saturday morning. I wonder if the encoder overheats in the afternoon? With a bunch of people giving to the NGEN pledge drive, you would think it would be a priority. NGEN along with 2 oldies channels, smooth jazz, the point format, extra rock formats, jazz - the Houston HD-2 channels are a whole lot better than the stations they piggyback on. I guess they are trying to force everybody to buy HD radios to get something remotely creative.

If they were thinking for the future, they would flip their NGEN and current KSBJ formats. I quit listening to KSBJ when I could listen to NGEN type formats online.

Much as people would love to see KSBJ go away -- That's just not going to happen... They are a success at what they do -- The ratings prove it.. It may not be your cup of tea but there are an abundance of listeners.
