KSBJ should buy KLOL

They've got the money. And buying a commercial frequency would free them of pretending to be a non-comm. Then they could convert KSBJ to brokered religious programs, a radio version of TBN.

Whatchu talkin' about, Willis?

Not gonna happen. It would cost a lot more than $50 million to get a MC stick. And besides, KSBJ as a business would have to be completely rechartered and restructured from a non-profit to a commercial operation, a process heavy in legalities.

Nonetheless, betcha KSBJ would love to get ahold of 105.7. Not gonna happen either.

I think KSBJ might think about buying the full-powered 105.7 frequency-to provide full-coverage to the city of Houston, But Officials over at Houston Christian Broabcasting, a private organization and owner of KHCB refuse not to let anyone take over the station because it's very sacred-which means not to be touched. A couple of companies were interested in buying this station, but Bruce Musterman (The guy who majority runs KHCB) says NO DEAL. It's been in the hands of god since it went on the air in 1962.

IF.....IF.....IF, KHCB were to sell to anyone, it would be Salem Communications or another religious broadcaster. Additionally, it would have to be Christian teaching. Having stated that, Salem is not currently buying anything.

Whatev ---- We all know they HATE CCM. I heard some very inflamatory programs against CCM aired in the 1980's. That type of dogmatism led me to turn them OFF permanently. They can call it "Holy" if they want, but when you go around slamming somebody else's ministry without scriptural backing, you have crossed the line.

KSBJ has their niche - I just hope they do something for people under 50 on an HD-2 channel. This is NOT the KSBJ I supported financially in the early 80's.
