KSBJ Transmitter Underwater

KSBJ is back on the air but at very low power. Audio level also low.

KXNG still off the air. Also noticed KHJK Air1 is off as well.

Not trying to be mean but the above post did make me recall what an engineer asked one Christian broadcaster after he suffered two lightning strikes in two months: Do you ever wonder if your boss is trying to send you a message? Here's hoping they are back up quickly. If nothing else, it sure would be a comfort to some going through the roughest time in their lives.

KPRC (AM) was underwater during Harvey. NE Houston along 610 was flooded Sunday per the video of the KHOU on-scene reporter. It signed back on the air on Wednesday at reduced power.

KSBJ appears to be back up and running at full power, and normal audio levels. Still no IBOC.

Likely not been able to repair the main transmitter yet... given the flooding at the site I am guessing the IBOC gear got a little wet. (Importers/Exporters are merely computers and not as easy to dry out)

I hear NGEN is back on 91.7 as of last night. Not sure if at full power or not.

So transmitters are easier to dry out than computers? I thought transmitters would be harder.
