KSBR

Several years ago I found a college station that had a jazz format I enjoyed. Are any of you familiar with KSBR? They are based out of Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA. Their format is more in the contemporary jazz vein, and they offer a sound one doesn't find on commercial radio. One show that hooked me was "The Session," which is a cross between chill and what Rafe Gomez played on
"The Groove Boutique." They are also live and local 24/7. Their website is: http://www.ksbr.net

Thanks, spirit. I checked out the stream for a spell this morning. It's a nice sound. I guess my only complaint is that it seems to be a low quality stream (32 kbps). I have gotten so spoiled by higher quality streams, when I hear one at 32 kbps I can really tell the difference. And it's a shame the program you mention starts so late. Being an East Coast guy, I am usually in the rack by then on weeknights, but I will definitely check it out on the weekend.

OT, Chris, I found your stream yesterday, and it is AWESOME, you have the right mix and it is bookmarked on all the computers I use.

Keep it up!

Thanks, sjs1959. I really appreciate it. I have a LONG ways to go, and much music to add. I have absolutely no broadcasting or programming experience, and I am literally flying by the seat of my pants with this thing. But based on the positive feedback I have received from some of you all on this board, that tells me at least I am on the right track. I truly value your opinions and taste in music. Keep them coming!

Chris
