Northern California KSCO KOMY Owner Selling For $8.9 mil

No similar filings for KOMY (it was properly renewed in November 2021).

It’s amazing that it’s still on the air. Egads.
 
I thought Zwerling got a short-dated renewal. Like two years.

A lot of the California stations have next-renewal dates in 2029, which implies the last one was 2022. So *if* Zwerling got a delayed short-dated renewal of two years after the FCC issued a ruling on his oversights, the KSCO delayed renewal application might "only" be months, not years.

That's where it gets weird.

The last renewal filing was granted back in November 2013, but because that was under CDBS I can't pull up the authorization to see when it expired.

The last license to cover (for the 2023 CP specifying nighttime ND operation with 28 watts) was issued April 18 of last year but has the December 1, 2021 expiration date.

How does a license get issued with an expiration date more than two years prior to its issuance? The only guess I can make is that the 2013 renewal had the 2021 date and it got copied over ... but that presumes that there was no renewal filed after the 2013 one expired, and I see no relevant filings that would explain it.
 
The KSCO website lists their rates for advertising. One minute will cost you $35, and they have a special for $300 to do your own weekly show. And there is also a "Donate" page. Ok, everyone show your support and pick one of the three monthly levels at $10.80, $50.80 (Free speech advocate), or be a Broadcaster Booster for $100.80. Lol.

Oh my....and to think there are people out there actually sending them money!

We don't know that for certain, Kat. That page may just be wishful thinking, especially given what appears to be an audience that can be counted on both hands' fingers.
