KSCR-FM Benson, MN signed on the air at 6:00 AM yesterday with a Variety music format, dropping its previous satellite-fed Classic Rock format from Westwood One. A new lineup of DJs and website (935kscr.com) was also added as part of the switch. Headwaters Media, the new owners of the station, say the main focus of the station is to be "live and local", featuring live DJs, handpicked music, local news & sports, community announcements, obituaries, local weather forecasts, etc.
