I understand what you're saying about Brian Philips and how he helped the Wolf, BUT...when he came to Dallas, he couldn't tell you if George Strait was a country singer or the UPS man. What he DID know was marketing. He convinced the ever-so-cheap-but-we-don't-care-because-we're-still-making-money-management at Susquehanna to cough up some of that fortune they made being the #3 country for all those years. He put the Wolf on the map with MONEY, which made the company LOTS MORE MONEY. A pretty simple philosophy that still works in any business, but when you have people in power positions who can't figure that out, you go from what the Wolf and KSCS was...to what they are today. Just plain awful. Especially KSCS. What in the world happened? I'm sure what keeps Dorsey coming in every morning is his fat paycheck, because he has GOT to be wondering the same thing. The midday girl out didn't really shock me. Kinder was just sort of "there"....so moving him to her shift doesn't really matter, but Stubie in afternoons? Yes, he did well on Young Country years ago, but they were so strong that a rubber chicken would have had great numbers in ANY daypart. On KSCS he sounds like he's completely lost. No energy, slow, unprepared. But who knows, his numbers could go through the roof and my opinion is totally off base. (it wouldn't be the first time). I just wish SOMEBODY would let the jocks loose in this town again. It's been a long time gang. An occasional sweeper is fine, but let's take the "P.D." sign off of the imaging guy's door and have some fun around here again. It might be too late but it's certainly worth a try. With the numbers that country racked up last book they've got nuthin' to lose.
