Actually, that's part of the problem. people either love her or hate her. And no in between.
And for ratings, you'd much rather people either love them or at least tolerate them. But not hate. Because hate usually indicates that the person is tuning out. Like permanently. Not just 'oh, I don't like it when Kidd talks about______", more like, "THAT'S IT< I"M NEVER LISTENING AGAIN!!!!"
And I think the Wolf canned her for 2 reasons-she wanted too much money for the ratings she was getting, and that she makes people HATE her. Like I said, not just dislike, tolerate the break to get back to more music, but the people that HATE her hate her with a passion.

I noticed today that stubie doak is no longer on the air at KSCS, I checked there web site and he is no longer listed there either. I was away for a week or so do something happen while I was gone.

It sure looks like Stubie isn't doing afternoons anymore. Fast Eddie Coyle has been filling in and I heard him say that Bill Kinder was on vacation, and Mel has been doing middays. So I guess Kinder is back to afternoons, and middays? If it's Amy B, it will be interesting to hear how she sounds on a true heritage country station. KSCS isn't the Wolf. They have very loyal P-1 listeners. The previous posts were discussing it love or hate with Amy B. KSCS will surely be the test. Who knows? It might work.

Yeah and I don't know the exact reason why it happened but I imagine it started with the power(s) that be telling her she needed to throttle her show back to fit the new jukebox format and ended with Amy telling them to get bent.

It can't be Amy B because they're saying "Something's Missing From DFW Radio" not "Somebody's Missing From DFW Radio". I think something's up.
I was working at Wolfdance at the Fort Worth Stockyards all day yesterday. Pretty big turnout.
At about 6:00 a plane started flying around with a big banner that read "AMY B IS BACK MON KSCS 96.3" It circled around the event for about an hour until just before sundown. I thought that was pretty funny.

Amy B. is going to be on one of the ABC music networks and KSCS is going to carry her show 10am-2pm.

Great - Just like KKGO in LA, relying on syndication to fill an air shift in a major market, that's even belwo voice tracking.

I'm not a huge fan of syndication but I definitely wouldn't put it below voicetracking. Voicetracking, especially in a major market, is the lowest of the low-rent solutions. Pay some two-bit stiff in Boise to can a show that "sounds" local, complete with staged calls and a few street names thrown in for reference. That's bottom of the barrel.
