Did anyone noticed that KSCS dropped their slogan "All The Best Country" to "The Big 96.3"? I noticed this yesterday.

Get rid of the "Hokey" jocks on KSCS and you might have something.

Say what you want about sebastian, he DID beat KSCS. Withe the exception of those Eagle and Van Morrison songs i think the music had a good balance. The imaging may have not been 18-34 but certaintly was the reason Wolf creamed KSCS in Adults. FEWER IMAGING IRRITANTS.
 
Speaking of Amy B............is there any truth to the comment, which became an arugment and then a bet, that Amy B is married to Jeff Crilley, KDFW (FOX 4, Channel 4) news reporter? Just trying to settle an argument and a bet.

False. I believe Jeff's married to Victoria Snee from Channel 33 and the Mix Morning Show.

And it's been for years... they were dating way back in the day when Tribune first cracked this market and Victoria was working the assignment desk, listening to scanners and working on stories.
 
In my opinion, using "The Big 96.3" as a moniker gives them more of a heritage sound. Maybe I bit hook, line, and sinker but I think that their imaging has been mediocre and this move is an improvement. :)

Sorry, it doesn't work for me. It sounds hokey and very dated. I mean if they wanted heritage they could have gone back to "Silver Country Stereo."

I don't hate it...but it certainly isn't fresh. KLLL-FM Lubbock was "the Big 96, K-Triple L" for a number of years starting in the 1990s. So, they aren't even the first station in the narrow category of country stations in Texas that broadcasts on 96.3 to come up with that idea.
 
On KSCS...sure sounded like former KHYI 94.9 "Y95" midday DJ Wendy on there late Sunday afternoon this past weekend. Is she now working there?
 
Robert Bass would be the one to ask that question of. If Wendy was back in town, I think he'd be camped out on the station's doorstep! :)
 
The word is Victor Sansone is back in charge. He was the GM that hired Dorsey from KPLX and reigned over their 12 year period of being #1. Most recently he was the GM of the ABC Atlanta stations. Expect changes.
 
Just prior to seeing this thread, I was just on the KSCS website...and didn't see Amy B anywhere on it.
 
Rumor is new guy at Big 96.3 canceled "B Tyme" Radio. IJS :'(
 
I called that a while back- people love her or hate her...and while that might work in talk or sports, you don't want a DJ that a segment of your audience HATES with a passion...

There's a reason KPLX let her go...
 
More changes noticed last night with "The Big 963" running GAC Nights! Does anyone know if Brother Van got the ax or has he strictly been reassigned just to do mornings with Dorsey?

They need to update the website, if they're saying "The Big 96.3-KSCS". What do you think??
