Hello Ya'll

Did anybody hear this sweeper this morning? "The Big 96.3 Will Become Another Station". What is up with that?
 
Prolly a cheap ploy to let people know they're going xmas next week...
 
Yeah, and not enough Spanish stations and LPFM religious formats. (Speaking of, is someone parting with a warehouse full of those old $1,000 "Radio Station In A Box" units on Ebay or something?)
 
Heard a blurb tonight on KSCS about flip at noon on 25th?
 
Seeing Lone Star Santas was cancelled, it could be a filp or rebrand, but what format would the Big 96.3 take, seeing that we already have too many Talk, Sports, Latin, Urban and AC stations in this market..Perhaps they could be moving into an americana format, as that would lessen the sting with its listeners....
 
I no longer live in Dallas but I have to comment. It would be a total shock to me if some chance they did happen to flip to something else. Thats where I actually first started listening to country and It would really suprise me if they reallly did flip to something else.
 
Two and a half weeks ago, someone posted the latest 25-54 numbers. KSCS was 4th and KPLX 5th in that demo. It would seem odd to blow up the station for a completely new format given that.

There are only 2 urban stations in this market. What this market needs is a full signal Urban AC station. There is not one here.
 
Salem, id love to have a true urban station, something that plays more underground/indie hip hop...

Anyone know why there is nothing but dead air at 96.3 this morning??? WTF? ??? The HD-2 station is on the air though...
 
Kind of ironic that these songs were sprinkled in before they went silent (or maybe that's just country music) ;) I am sure it is just a coincidence and being off the air is just a technical glitch or maintenence...
