Ksds 88.3

Since XETV CH.6 Shuts off their analog signal, would it be possible for KSDS to increase their power to ≈ (approx.) 50kw/150M instead of 22kw/75M and also, move their transmitter to Mt. Soledad? I know in the past KSDS tries to increase their power, but due to channel 6, they can't.

A look at their present tower and main/aux antennas=

It's probably not practical to pursue an upgrade.Tower leases on Soledad can be $8k/mo.
The current location has it's limitations: the city, FAA(only 1.5mi. to approach runway 5@Montgomery Field) would be major obstacles. It would also be hard for KSDS to justify the upgrade costs to the College(legal, engineering, tower/site)unless they had maybe an extra $2 million in donations available.
