KSFF Waukon

KSFF 1160 in Waukon drops Adult Contemporary for FOX sports and have applied for the calls KFXE. They really have no clue what to do with this signal do they?

What would you suggest?

Pretty much no one listens to AM for music; they were True Oldies before AC, and I think they were classic country years ago. Probably all of the talk shows anyone listens to are already taken.

Fox Sports probably won't work either, but it's bartered and you don't have to pay music royalties.

I don't know about that. KMRY 1450 in Cedar Rapids has pretty strong ratings. Sure they have a translator now, but it just went live within the last 2-6 months. They still had a 5-6+ diary before the translator and I can't imagine it was because of their HD Radio signal.

I still believe if AM is done right, it can be successful.
