KSFM Mornings

heard the girl was fired. from what I hear, morning team did not get along

From what I heard from a jock in the building was the girl quit after being screamed and yelled at by Byron Kennedy.

Of course, we don't know what she may have done to piss him off. But there are responsibilities as a manager to remain professional and stay away from being abusive. That's if he really was screaming and yelling at her. It's only hearsay as I didn't witness it myself.

Thanks for the info. Aren't the CBS stations in Sacto still for sale?

I listened to the morning show. The music bed they were trying to talk over was very distracting. It was some techo beat that was much too loud. The talent was O.K., but nothing to get excited about.

if thats true she should sue. thats a tough roll being the only girl on the air staff

That was typical in the 70's and early 80's.If you screwed up you got chewed out and just took it.Now days you can't even look at someone cross eyed with getting sued.We don't know what happened or what she did so lets not jump to judgment.

That's one of the things that annoy me quite a bit about radio, it's distracting and gives the sound a cluttered feel. Why even have a bed? Just talk to the listener! Usually if I hear talent talking over the beginning of a song and it's so loud you can't hear what they are saying, I assume it's voicetracked....since if it were live they should hear on the 'phones that they're being drowned out.

Exactly! I hear the new "talent" on the Wolf doing the same thing. Loud music beds with rambling you can't even hear. Is the Wolf trying to sound CHR, etc.?

I haven't listened to KSFM mornings since Chris Collins & Mike Reynolds hosted The Morning Zoo, eons ago.

I haven't listened to KSFM mornings since it was known as "Earthradio 102," ran a Progressive Rock format and Diane Micheals hosted morning drive host. ;D

Last I heard, she is up in Northern Idaho on a local Triple A station.....

Anyway, back to the topic.
