KSIX-AM (Corpus Christi)---Astros

I realize the season started some 10 days ago, but I thought it noteworthy to mention that KSIX (1230 AM) is beginning it's 45th year of carrying Houston Astros baseball. They have been the Coastal Bend's voice of Houston baseball since the Colt .45's first pitch in 1962. I know they are the Astros longest continuous affiliate, but I wonder how they stack up against the other teams affiliates. Even the St. Louis Cardinals are no longer on KMOX, which is sacrilege.

That's a good question. We'd be interested as well.

Like Milo Hamilton often says...."It may not be a record, but it certainly is above average"

The Cubs have been on WGN-720 for at least that long. The Pirates (KDKA), Giants (KNBR), and Reds (WLW) have been with their respective stations for a number of years also.
