We went into this stint on Channel 92.3 with the knowledge that it probably wasn't going to last for more than a couple weeks, but hoping to make a big enough impact to prove the power of what we're curating with you. Not only did we make a very loud statement, but we also won ourselves a spot on the radio every Saturday and Sunday nights from 8p-Midnight on Channel 104.9. This means, you will be able to hear S*ALT all week long on a live webstream...or on your smart phones (ipod, blackberry, & droid apps are being built as we speak and will be ready within a week)...and live on your radio on Saturday & Sunday evenings from 8-Midnight on 104.9 fm. If we continue to show growth and continue to show the power of this community...we guarantee we'll be back on the air again, full time, soon. In the meantime, please don't stop supporting this mission. We promise this is only the beginning...especially if you help build this with us. We are not going ANYWHERE. We literally have been running this station for the past 2+ weeks on a couple of computers and NO STUDIO...imagine what we can do when we DO have a home?
The Alternative music community lives in the underground, and on the internet- That's where most of us find our music. That's why many of these signals are flipping formats. If we had it our way, we would be with you 24/7 on KSJO FM 92.3 . Alas, that is not the case, and sadly Wednesday will be our last day on Channel 92.3. With that said, we felt that the best way to say goodbye would be to invite our friends, the former air staff of Channel 92.3, back onto the air for a proper goodbye to their long-time, die hard fans. Special thanks to Principle Broadcasting for allowing us the freedom to do something like this, as its generally unheard of in the radio industry. SaveAlternative.com is a baby...and we'll continue to grow in and around the Bay Area. Its only fair to let your former 92.3 jocks have the opportunity to say a proper goodbye to their fans. We will gladly step aside and prepare for our next phase online and on 104.9 fm.
