KSJOs new format, 24/7 Tech Talk?

Looking on either KLOK or KCNL's website (I can't remember which one, I think it was on both) I saw an add looking for people who wanted to help make a 24/7 tech talk station, It has to be for KSJO. Here's the full add:

24/7 Tech was tried already, and never really showed up at all in the ratings. It didn't make much money, either. It was called CNET radio, and aired on KNEW/910 for 3 years or so. When CNET decided it wasn't working, and their deal was up with Clear Channel, CC put conservative talk on the channel. According to CNET brass, a lot of Silicon Valley CEOs and movers liked it, but it never caught on with the general public.

Alex Bennett in the morning!

By the way, what's with the subject on this thread? Did KSJO have anything to do with any of this? The "24/7 Tech Channel" thing is on the front page of KLOK's website.

That was my first thought, but why would they hire people to do a talk station if it was going on an HD station where no one would hear it?

Cool...Now they can try boring the crap outta people on FM.

They were supposedly going to launch tech programming on an HD channel in January but all I remember from their HD signals on 104.9 were a simulcast of KLOK and some Persian music. So they'll probably stick it on one of 92.3's HDs if they find anyone who wants to broker time on a HD channel.

This concept sounds too Dull Tech Talk for FM radio? KSJO's supposed new format won't last for long. Tech Talk should only be a 2-minute segment at KCBS 740 at most.
