Anybody else see the sign on Central Expressway that says:

KSKY 660 AM
Liberals Hate It!

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!!
"Liberal media", huh?
I think it is hilarious how OPENLY BIAS they are. Yet they claim that "the liberals own the media!". HaHaHaHa!

Those KSKY bumper stickers might aswell just be Bush/Cheney 04 bumper stickers. But then again, that aplies to pretty much every single radio and television station in America.

And atleast they're not "Fair and Ballanced", and they don't "supply to most comprehensive and unbiased news coverage on your radio dial" (Sean Hannity).

They're all conservative.

Owned and operated by conservatives is very true. Interesting thing about KSKY and WBAP after talking to people who worked at,or are working at both.IF you somehow slip about your political feelings that runs contrary to their conservative image, your job is eliminated due to budget in most cases.

I think it's just good marketing. What if 910 signed on with a "conservatives hate it" billboard campaign. Betcha they would have gotten some attention and sampling.

Sean: "America at Night" is a very conservative program once carried by KSKY until recently. You're not impartial.

Its just bad taste..like the KLIF "terrorist" billboard campaign.

Eye catching ... maybe, but not that clever and won't help KSKY's anemic ratings. But how 'bout that William Bennett?

I don't have a problem with it, and I am as liberal as they come according to my friends :).

The billboards may be eye catching but not really that clever.

But billboards won't help its pathetic ratings. Too many other stations are playing the same game ... better.

Then again, William Bennett ranted about aborting black babies on his show the other day.

And we liberals thought he was BORING :)?

> Its just bad taste..like the KLIF "terrorist" billboard

Hahahaha!!
Ya. I forgot about that one.

"Some people want you dead"

haha

that one is even funnier!

> I happen to like ksky.
Maybe because you work there.. or used to. America At Night.

> I'm a American!
Ya, an American who can't speak English!!

hahahaha. I'm just having some fun with you, man. No offense.
But really, its bad how bias these people are.

Liberals do own the media. They dominate almost every aspect of it. Talk radio and one cable news channel are hardly competition for the arch-liberal viewpoints expressed as fact in virtually all network news show, prime time programs, movies, and music.

That said, I think a billboard like this does KSKY absolutely no good. It tells me liberals hate it, but doesn't tell me why I should like it.

The only thing good about the KSKY billboard is that it does get its message across. Far too many radio stations spend thousands on billboards that do no good.

The folks at 1360am are wasting precious dollars on billboards that few would recognize as an ad for that particular radio station. The "1360am" is hard to read. It needs to be big and bold, but isn't.

Re: Eye catching ... maybe, but not that clever and won't help KSKY's anemic ratings. But how 'bout that William Bennett?

Perhaps one with money should put up a billboard along Central, LBJ and Stemmons that says :

KSKY,Why most listeners with common sense ignore it.

You think the OWNERS of broadcasting outlets are liberals.

Think again. They are businessmen interested in one thing -- making money.

They will air whatever makes money ... anything ... they have proved it.

Here's a man ... or woman ... that cannot make up his ... or her ... own mind.

First you state the billboard "doesn't tell me why I should like it (KSKY)."

Then you write, "The only thing good about the KSKY billboard is that it does get its message across."

You are a master of debating yourself or talking to yourself.

Hey, 1360 is a lost cause ... should have been aborted before it was born.

1360 had a rough start in the spring, but it is slowly growing. They just built new studios off Hampton with state of the art equipment. The owners are actually spending money FOR the station not pocketing it. Ad sales are up as well. They are not,nor will they ever be concerned about the ratings. They are only concerned about the business community, not over all appeal. Their sister station in Houston (KXYZ) is doing very very well.

Oh yeah, just what modern businessmen need -- business radio -- when they have had more modern methods of information for two decades.

Oh brother.

Let's just trade in our vehicles for a new horse and buggy.

Big deal.

Lovely ... (that word again) :).

And hyphenate "state-of-the-art equipment next time. Compound adjective ... easier to read. It bugs me.

Good for them.

Do they ever plan to pocket any?

Or is this non-profit? :)

Whew, now I am relieved.

Good, because business radio is about as appealing as kissing your sister.

>> Their sister station in Houston (KXYZ) is doing very very well.

Very, very, very good ...

I won a movie pass once from KXYZ when it was top-40, but I did not get to go because I had tickets to the Astros game at the Astrodome.

And Nolan Ryan was pitching. Of course, I couldn't miss that.

Sorry, I digress.

Back to business.

True, however why is David Johnson listened to on KRLD? WBAP has their business guru. The Wall Street Journal has their radio network, and the list goes on. Businessmen listen to the radio especially if it pertains to them.

Better we'll all go Amish and if gas prices keep soaring it may not be a bad idea.

Curious, lazy ... going to doing a story about them?

Any number of reasons ...

Watch out I am Amish, and I know you stole my wash basin.

Look out ... The Batman's anger managment is kicking in.

You won't like me when I'm angry ...

But you did say, "Not you or I" instead of you or me. Congratulations. Good night and good luck.

Yeah, I was asking specifically about THEM?

The owners of Radio Free Business ...

How hard is that to learn? I mean both.

You forget. I like cold weather. Why would I wear that freaky Bat suit otherwise.

Well, yeah, it is a chick magnet.

Yep, Ryan pitched but no decision -- game lasted until well past 1 a.m. No curfew in the National League.

Thinking back, KXYZ may ... may ... have been oldies by then.

And now I am an Oldie.

Re: KSKY sign on Central - the real media ... well not really

I love how this conversation has turned into... this.

And with the Astros.. it dont matter. Atlanta will take care of them in the first roung. Red Sox all the way.

Be very careful with that one. Bennett erred in putting his qualifier at the end of the statement and not in front...the newscasts ran with the first part of the statement, and all but ignored the fact that he said doing something like that would be dispicable, horrible, outrageous etc.

Not a Bennett supporter (I agree he IS boring) and pretty much burned out on talk radio, but just wondering what happened to the expression of thought and opinion in society's discourse.

And trust me this is as political as I'll ever get on this board
