KSLX Mash-Up is a RERUN! 6/7/11

Tumbling Dice/Ballroom Blitz/Life In The Fast Lane/Purple Haze

I coulda sworn I heard this same one a couple months ago while driving on the 101.

Methinks that a hardcore KSLX fan could keep track of these and be the first correct caller. You suree that re-running these is a good idea?

Maybe no one cares any longer......

"Ballroom Blitz" would cause me to hit my pre-set quicker than you could say "classic rock".

Why? It's FAR less played to death than two of the other three mashed-up tunes in question...

I heard this one too. One of the BEST mash-ups, though they're all so good! You could never really know just what will be mashed up... What if something else was thrown in instead of "Purple Haze"? It could happen.

If you think about it, the time it would take for a crazed fan to scan up and down their list they've collected for almost a year would be about the same time (or more) it would take for you to simply use your ears to identify the songs.

Because it is, to me, one of the most irritating songs ever dreamed up.

I wasn't crazy about it in '75, but today I like it. Go figure. Always liked the Sweet's follow-up, which is heard even less frequently today: "Fox on the Run".
Should go dig out the "Best of Sweet" CD and play them all from "Little Willy" to "Love Is Like Oxygen"...

What did KSLX follow up Ballroom Blitz with, Tubular Bells?

It's time for somebody to take out the "rock wall." I have a playlist that would leave KSLX bleeding by the side of the road if it were on a South Mountain stick.

Ahh, sweet memories. I still have the 45 of Fox On The Run; it has a B-side called Burn On The Flame which was good but AFAIK hadn't been included on an album. And only in the last few years have I heard the echoed "blitzblitzblitz" part of Ballroom Blitz; they NEVER used to play that when it was current!
BTW I think they re-ran a mash-up today (6/14): All Right Now/Rock And Roll Train/No One Like You/Hot Blooded

Really? You never heard Goody Two Shoes by Adam and the Ants?

The mash up, me thinks might be a good idea, but it's far too long.

I'd keep it under a minute, maybe 30 seconds, in my ideal world.

I have tried to stomach their mashups, but some of them are just a trainwreck of songs played over each other that just don't work.
I (as others I know) flip the dial.
