KSLX

Doc Ellis is gone from KDKB as well. :(

Note to Doc: Thanks for KZON plate cover (I better check to see if it's legal), the head phones, the funny on-air stories and the golf tips. You'll be missed!

According to Tom Taylor's column, both Dock Ellis and Steve Trella are gone and the respetive KDKB and KSLX PDs are now pulling midday air shifts. I wonder if they voice track those? Probably.

I also went to KOOl's website today and noticed that Tom Peake is listed as their midday talent. If accurate, and I assume it is, I would also presume that he voice tracks those well in advance.

Yesterday I was listening to KOOL just before noon and was surprised to hear Tom P. still on-air. He was just announcing the end of the morning show. After the break Steve Goddard was on with his midday show.

Very sorry to hear about Doc Ellis and Steve Trella. I've worked with both guys, and they're good ones.

CBS let's people go because of the economy and they have single handedly found a new way to kill off they business we love. Sandusky does it and not a 'corporate suit' comment made. Nice to see we are all still objective about the things we want to see.

Sorry to hear this news too. Steve was instrumental in getting me my first show at KSLX; I have him to thank for opening the door for me. Worked with him over the next ten years until I left last March. Great pipes and a good friend. Didn't know Doc very well but I enjoyed hearing him when i could. So, what's the line-up at 100.7 now?

Not because we didn't ask. No one has replied to my earlier question regarding Steve's dismissal.

Until I see a reason for someone's absence I won't assume the "suits" fired them.

Hey Evan, great to see you on here! How's life since the big move? The new lineup at KSLX is Mark Mayfield-mornings, Jim Owen-middays, Pete Cummings-afternoons, Susan Stone-7 to mid

Robin C! Holy Radio Knobs Batman! Lost your number in the move. How are you?!

Yeah, Mayfield was doing mornings when I left Phx for OR. Mike Flatt rockin Overnights, Susan is doing Evenings, PD Jim has the Midday and Pete C. on PM Drive (I think I have all that accurate)
I had to leave Az due to a family emergency. Now I'm doing the Morning show/PD at K-Dock. It's beautiful country here, Robin. Soon as things level out here, I plan to look north for another gig, or head back to Boston (I worked at 'BCN for 4 years) Love to hear from you! Homesick? Yes, I miss listening to KUPD, The Edge and KOOL. Ironic that my station sounds remarkly similar to 94.5. Stay cool!

Doing good here! I officially "retired" from radio and I'm enjoying a renewed career in acting, voice-over, directing and producing for films and commercials. I just started a new comapny called Scorpio2 Productions. We write, direct and produce short films. I guess you can say I've branched out since the rasio days. Here's the best way to contact me: [email protected].
