KSMJ 97.7 Playing Christmas on the 26th?

I think there's a few stations that play Christmas Music until New Year's, where's KSMJ? Is it an AC station?
I was on hold with a company in Southern California just a few minutes ago, and the radio station played "Last Christmas" by Wham coming out of a commercial set.
It's just my opinion, but I think that Christmas music can be packed up and safely put away at 11:59:59 PM on December 25. It's superfluous the second the clock strikes midnight.
