KSMO Shows My & CW Promos

I was just watching KSMO-TV/Kansas City (currently WB, soon to be MY) and they showed that generic "MY" promo...followed immediatly by a "CW" promo. I am guessing the CW promo must have been on the network feed. I thought the WB wasn't promoting the network, just local stations. Can anyone clarify this?

It would be ridiculous for ONLY the station that'll become the CW to promote the CW. Otherwise you don't get the people who watch the other network's programming (or so the theory goes). You especially want to have LOCALLY-PRODUCED promos so people know where to look. (Only the most vindictive station owner would have petty rivalry/bitterness trump viewer convenience. Which is why it wouldn't surprise me if Sinclair was intentionally trying to dodge CW promos on their MyNet stations...)

I can verify that (at least) the WB is showing CW promos on the network feed because of something hilarious that happened with my own WB-turned-My Network affiliate, Seattle's KTWB. A few weeks ago I was watching that station specifically looking for My promos. A commercial break was rolling along, and they came out of an ad for some block of comedies on that station... and for a split-second before the regular show came back on, there was a big green screen with a CW logo and something else. I had to imagine the people at the station knew the CW promo was coming and intentionally placed the local ads to cover it up... the split second they didn't get was just mind-boggling.

Does anyone know if UPN is showing CW promos on the network feed too?

Just saw something even more hilarious: KTWB showing the My Network promo... and coming out to an even briefer ending to the CW promo. In other words, they showed the My Network promo over the CW promo. The irony meter is off the charts.

I can verify as well that (at least) WB is indeed airing CW promos. Just surfed past our WB-to-CW affiliate in Madison (WBUW/57), and right in the middle of a network break is a CW promo (tagline: Free To Be Together). Haven't watched our UPN affiliate as of late (UPN14, soon to join MY), so I can't verify if they're dodging CW promos (though I have a bet they would be if UPN is promoting CW). But I'm sure it's safe to say WB & UPN stations are airing (or blocking) MY and CW promos at their individual discretion. In other words, those that will pick up CW won't promote MY and vice versa.
