Is this station ever going to get rebuilt since being destroyed by hurricane Ike.It could just simulcast KAYD again or KQXY.

A preacher with deep pockets could make it work. Or KHCB -- to add to their expanding network of stations.
CW, my question regarding the 2 translator locations is could KSTB build out a facility on either one of these locations thus nullifying their argument of not being able to find a suitable tower location?
IF they were smart (and Im not saying they are), they could have that tower dismantled and moved to CB for KSTB (the antenna for 101.3 is also still on that La tower..so it WOULD make sense...but would it make $$$?? probably not)
Why would KHCB need it - they have one of the strongest signals over the area. I don't know why they would bother to build a network - their ratings are non-existent anyway. Programming that was outdated in the 60's. Talk about outdated formats that don't appeal to advertisers - KHCB was outdated when the "oldies" weren't oldies yet.
KHCB cumes about 145,000 persons. That is hardly "non-existent".
Is that for just for the KHCB flagship or the entire network of stations?
The programming is what you might have found on a religious station in the 1950's. Of course their target audience has a world view that is trapped in that same decade.
KSTB is a goner, unless some religious satellite group picks it up for pennies. The signal has been downgraded into oblivion. Over half the coverage area is water, and most of the rest is unpopulated rural area. They should just turn the license back in and delete the assignment, which might allow a couple of LPFMs in the Bay Area.
The original "Star of the Bay" wasn't half bad with a better signal, but it failed as well.
If the drive to keep going is there, they will find a way. I would assume it is, with KHCB.![]()
