I would like to sell a replica RCA-77 mic promotional ballpoint pen with KSTN call letters affixed to the clip (circa 1961)...for years, the RCA-77 mic was the standard of the industry — the same mic used by Johnny Carson on his desk, and now sits on Larry King’s desk. And here it is in replication with the KSTN call letters.
I have three of them, and don't doubt that these promotional pens could very well be part of the early Bill Drake/Boss Radio legacy, as I also have another one with KYA (san francisco) call letters...Drake and Jane Swain (who was GM at KSTN and KYA) worked at both stations during this period...could be part of their heritage.
Not coincidentally, the RCA-77 was the same mic that hung in the KSTN production room for decades. All of these pens remain in fine working order...genuine treasures from the golden age of top-40.
