Tribune Broadcasting, the owners of San Diego’s KSWB, names Ray Schonbak, as the station’s vice president and general manager.
As announced yesterday, the Tribune station will be the San Diego FOX television outlet in August. All of FOX television programming, including NFL, baseball, and TV programs, will be found on UHF channel 69 or digital 19. The station will continue to be on channel 5 on cable outlets in a majority of San Diego systems.
(The station will cease broadcasting on UHF 69 early next year when the transition from analog to digital will be complete. This only effects those who receive over-the-air transmission. San Diego county is the second most wired TV population center in the U.S. Combined with satellite, the number of over-the-air-viewers is not very much.)
