KSWG upgrade status

Any progress or updates on 96.3's CP to increase to a Class C with 100kW? When I spoke with folks on Wickenburg Way earlier this spring, they stated that they were in the process of getting studios in Phoenix and making the transition to a full-market station rather than just covering the northwest corridor. From what I can tell, their new signal will give them city-grade through about Glendale, so I would think that's where their studios would move.

They obviously wouldn't comment on format, but some here have said they might keep the ABC "Real Country" format and compete with KMLE and KNIX. Any ideas there? With 97.5, 95.1, and everything else moving in, there's not much left. Also, I have gotten 94.1 out of Globe a good ways up the 17, north to Cave Creek, and west on I-10 out to about Tonopah. Although their signal isn't very reliable and gets killed in mountainous areas, I believe the are stepping up efforts to promote themselves in the east valley.<P ID="signature">______________
