KTAR-AM Currently Off the Air

KTAR-AM (620) is currently off the air. It has been dead air for at least the last four hours. I assume the reason why KTAR-AM is off the air is due to the monsoon storms that blew through the valley tonight. All other stations appear to be operating normally.

Tonight on 620, instead of hearing Jason Smith and ESPN radio, you get to hear Mexican 620 from Tijuana (XESS). Aye carumba!

As of 7:00 A.M. this morning, KTAR-AM was back up and running. Don't know the exact time when the transmitter came back on-line, but everything appears to be back to normal. Welcome back!

With few listeners and even fewer advertisers (mostly PSAs for TMISU), Maybe KTAR should cut their electric bill and sign off between 10 PM (or whenever the D'backs/Suns/ASU game ends) and 3 AM when Mike & Mike start up. ESPN Radio overnights is a complete joke.

They were on when I left the house at 6:20 (Talk about timing! ;D )
