KTAR Banned at ASU

Is this another KT'R April Fool's joke, albeit late?

Assuming it is legit, quoting the bus company honcho
(excerpted from his "memo" posted on the KT'R website):

"...92.3 is not to be broadcast in any ASU shuttle bus.
There have been several complaints made by students
to...ASU...regarding the content of the music and
programming being played by this station. It has been
deemed to be offensive and distasteful."

Music? They don't like KT'R's bumpers? Maybe it refers
to the "belch" sounder they play weekdays at 6:40am. ;)

Programming? Must be Aunt Carlos.

Good thing the bus drivers don't dial up 55/FYI. Can you
imagine making those impressionable young minds listen
to El Rushbo? ;D
 
If the Master Blogger can't out program KFWhyEye, might as well resort to juvenille stunts to get people listening to the Number #1 Number #2 News and Talk station!
 
Brilliant marketing move by KTAR to play this to their advantage. This is going to be a mongo sized story. Every radio station wishes they were the one banned. Brilliant.

That's what I love about liberals....they are supposed to be "open minded" yet more often than not they act like juveniles rushing to "ban" everything. And the more they act like juveniles, it galvanizes the opposition even further. What in the hell are they afraid of? It sounds like it is more as though they are afraid of having to compete with another point of view other their own.....
 
...in the Arizona Publican item, Russ Hill has the gall to cite the Cronkite School of Journalism at ASU in defense of the bilge that KayTar pumps out. Maybe Hill, Gaydos and Ankarlo divvied up the same brain three ways?...

We get it, alright. Lead story in KT'R Saturday newscasts.....hmmmm :eek: ::) Nurse Jeff and I'll be catching the Luvable 1 tonight as we're sure he'll continue shilling for the Master Blogger!
 
A nothing story blown out of proportion by the tar pit to make them sound edgy.

Jay, I love ya, but your show talking about this tonite was lame. You had a bunch of house bound folks on iron lungs call in about how they only listen to KTAR and you blew this out of proportion.

If I was on a bus and they played the music of your life or gangsta rap, I'd complain.

Hell, wen I go to the new Tempe mall thing, I get freaking irate when they pump a crapload of bad music through speakers in the parking lot.

Who the hell needs bad music piped into a GD parking lot? In Snottsdale they at least pump it via some fake plastic rocks.

I don't need a sound track for my parking activities.
