KTAR FALL LINEUP (MY TAKE)

I really think KTAR needs to make a few changes to their lineup. They have come a long way from the mcboring days but work still needs to be done. Do we really need the same recycled news all morning long? I don't think so. Anyone else have any intelligent ideas for KTAR.

mornings- Ankarlo
mid morning - Glenn Beck
Early afternoons Joe Crummey
Late afternoons - Austin Hill
Nights - Mac and Gaydos
late nights - Phil Hendrie
overnights - John and Jeff
 
I guess when you get the tar beaten out of you by KFYI and the switch to FM hasn't boosted your ratings or rank overall...changes should occur. Getting whooped by approx 2 shares is a huge win for KFYI. The lineup is the reason that KTAR is losing and losing badly...not the FM move.

2nd rate lineup to KFYI, any way you revise it. But being second rate in our market, with just two news/talk stations, means you can still make a few bucks.
 
2nd rate? KFYI has jacobs and young which is not a top rated show by any means. Limbaugh, hannity and savage are pretty much the same take day after day after day. boring lineup in my opinion
 
Crummey's great, he should have pmd. Hendrie's good, not as good as in the past. Then rest are pretty lame. Mac and Gaydos are worst than Liddy and Hill. Wrong about Young-that dude is hilarious!

How about replacing Crummey with Kid Stevens?

Kid is a great host and I think he has grown into a role as a talk show host with local ties. If Kid wouldn't have left to rejoin with Ruben he might still be with KT'R. While I understand the reasons why Kid left, to fulfill a dream, but it makes me wonder what if he stayed.
 
Nurse Jeff and I still don't get Hendrie. When we talk to ourselves, people think we're crazy!

We could barter. I think I remember how to tune-up a '76 Gremlin. I still have the big hammer I used on the last one.

Thanks for the shout out and great to hear there's another AMC Master Mechanic in the Valley. Mark Salem won't take Nurse Jeff's calls anymore on his KT'R weekend show. As far as the Old Gringo goes, don't sweat it...he's posted at least another 286 messages since dissing your age! Lumberyard 14~Forty rocks 12/7 ::)
