KTAR in the parade today

Wow does this coverage suck.

Aunt Carlos is trying to report live from the middle of the crowd, but every other word is cutting out, then we just get gibberish and some dude singing the national anthem in a thick accent.

And all the while Darryl is talking about how he may get his ass kicked.

Its compelling radio, but the way they want it to be! ;D

I heard the "coverage" as well, it got a tad better in the 11am hour from a sound aspect. Naturally, the content was terrible--interviews were over-modulated, phone calls were few and far between and Aunt Carlos said that he was going to go to Mexico, throw his papers away and try to enter the U.S. "illegally" in the hopes that he is arrested. Someone should tell Aunt Carlos that he is a citizen and cannot, as a result, enter the U.S. illegally.

I can't wait for the ratings because I have a feeling that Colon blow spots on KFNX are beating this guy.
 
I love how Aunt Carlos brought along a token mexican friend with him, then announced half a dozen times that he wouldn't say his name on the air for his safety!

Then he started yelling at some kids for playing with an American Flag!

He really has a flag fetish sometimes.

The funny point was when he went up to a guy and asked if he had been in prison before.

You can't buy comedy like this! He made Geraldo look like a professional.
 
I agree. KFYI sounded so much better. Did you hear how as the march started and streets were closed down how they................... agh, nevermind. Ya, KTAR sucks. Ankarlo sucks. Pat sucks. Nedconnie suck. Gaydos sucks. Kid sucks. Tedjayme suck. Larryking sucks. Their newssucks. Their music sucks. Their commercials suck. Their promos suck. FM sucks.

KTAR does a fine job with sports--at least play-by-play. Otherwise, I'm pretty much in agreement with your sarcastic laden tirade.

I never said anything about KFYI, but you did, defensive?

FWIW, KFYI is terrible these days with the blustery buffoon at 4 and Bruce yammering all morning.



But Aunt Carlos was pathetic today, it was embarrassing to listen to it today, at one part I thought he was gonna cry.
 
I heard part of the show. Technical problems were annoying. But those were only for a few minutes when I listened. I thought the show was pretty good. He actually went down the march street on the air and then went out into the crowd. I was impressed he didn't just sit in the studio or live van.

I switched over to listen to Barry Young and he was playing that stupid illegal chime sound effect endlessly.
