KTAR: News Without the Static

Man, this guy needs to loosen his secret underwear. It's cutting off circulation to his brain.

Ok, the underwear fetish is getting a bit old and crusty! ;D

I miss the 'boom' sound effect and the 'duh-duh-duh, duh, duh, duh-duh.' I will get used to the new stuff soon. As long as we get the hourly bell and anchors reporting the temperature "in Uptown Phoenix."

as do i

ktar was sounding hot for awhile there. now, not so much.

The master blogger talks about, "No more trumpets blaring the beginning of a segment," but the opening of ABC news is just that--loud and dramatic, like trumpets blaring.

I am in favor of doing away with the "voice of G-d" at the opening of the newscast, but the imaging needs to be consistent. If you keep ABC News, you still have the dramatic opening of at least one newscast an hour.

Just my $0.50 ($0.02 adjusted for inflation). ;)
