KTAR Replacement: Like Lions Merging on a Carcus!

Sources say there are several talk show hosts in the running for the Crummey spot, nights, on KTAR. Jay Lawrence, Terry Gilberg, Barry Markson and Jim Sharpe are all secretly pouncing like vultures on a roadkill for the nightshift! My source is very good and I've been told that Dave Ramsey is only a finger in the dike until they fill the position. I've been told they really want Jim or Terry and maybe even team them up. Wait and see beacause I hear a decision is imminent.

I used to Like Terri's show, or at least put up with it, but not any more. She can really harange (sp) and whine to the point of being irritating. She will have a credible guest, but then put a psychic on or go into Catholic theology. And I just flat don't want to hear her say "What say you?" one more time. Legend is right, Dennis Miller is overdue for a program on a Phoenix station that I don't have to physically shift my radio around to be able to pick up in Tukee. But that won't happen. I think he's just a little too hip for KTAR. Sharpe would be a perfect fit for them, but I would still prefer Uncle Jaybird. Sharpe is perfect in the A.M.

If the Sharpmeister returns to KT'R, would that be for the 4th or 5th time? But why would he??...a cushy two hour shift early mornings on 5~Fifty leaves him time to do PR work during bidniss hours. A 7-10pm shift precludes wining and dining with the high rollers. Leibo found that out the hard way...now he's the official Philiberto shill wining and dining with the likes of Shakira, Rev Al Sharpton and other open borders buddies.

Are you sure KTAR won't leave Ramsey in the 7 PM-10 PM slot permanently? We all know it's cheaper to do that then hire a live and local replacement.

I hope you are correct that Ramsey in the early evening slot is only temporary! :-\

Wow, I figured most of the regulars on this board would have torn this apart already--I guess some of you are losing your touch. Mind you, this could be a troll and I'm simply feeding it, but still...

I suggest getting a better "source" if you honestly think KTAR is interested in hiring TERRY GILBERG for God's sake. There are hundreds of talk show hosts that have a far better track record of success than Gilberg. Moreover, there's lots of other talent in this market alone that seems to move the needle more than the lecturing school teacher. Why in the world would Jim Sharpe move to a time where there are far fewer total listeners when he has an existing morning gig on a station with more listeners? As I write this, I realize you must be trolling, because absolutely no one--not even the incompetent Bonneville would actually consider such an idea. It was a good laugh though.

I imagine KTAR will use another syndicated show to fill the spot--wouldn't want to spend any money or try to add local talent after all.

Believe it or not, Joe Crummey is still listed on KTAR's website as 7-10 PM, Dave Ramsey 10 PM-1 AM. Of course, we all know Crummey's last program aired last week. :)

Maybe the MasterBlogger didn't tell the KT'R webmaster to update the site until
this morning. It does now show the Ramster from 7-10 PM, however nothing is
currently listed between 10 PM-5 AM on the FM.

Maybe TMISU bought one of those lamptimers Gumpdusky has and will cut the carrier at 10pm? Well at least it won't be in the middle of a song!

Are you sure you aren't Ernie Douglas? Because you need glasses...

I have been offered several evening shows in the past and haven't accepted one of 'em. If you have ever seen me in person, you know I don't like to rush dinner... :p

Besides, the Sharpemeister just loves handing off to the Nearly Bald One at 7 AM.

The bowing down is a bit much though, Jim. ;)
