Heard Kid taking over for Aunt Bombastic, he did a pretty good job, even with brainless subjects. He has a good attitude and can laugh at himself and he is having fun.

Franz taking over for the Bland one, jury is out. Usually a sports guy talking politics comes off as a lunkhead (Femino), or just ignorant (Jacobs). I'll give him another 2 hours to see if he just studied up to sound intelligent, or if he allows callers and guests to have some dialog.
 
For what it's worth, I'll take a fill-in host over the "Best of Pat McMahon" ??? KT'R played on the 4th. All I can say is that it must have taken hours for them to find tapes that could even come close to qualifying as "best of" material.

I think even Aunt Edna was changing the channel yesterday as she dipped her dentures in the glass of Efferdent Plus. ;D

As for Kid, he did do an o.k. job filling in for Aunt Carlo.

Btw- The big topic on KT'R seems to be the first day of the monsoon. My money is on sometime next week. ;D
 
I knew the monsoon story would be big again.

I love how the haters always seem to be listening. I think Pat's show sucks so I would have no idea what he had on for the 4th. I always seem to have something better to do on my days off.

Don't call me a hater, I listen to all the stations from time to time.

Hell yes!

Critical when each station does stupid things.

KTAR is stupid for having Aunt Carlos and McBland, KFYI is stupid for Savage and JD, 1100 is a vast wasteland of gold salesmen and colon cleanser ads, KKNT wastes 3 hours with Liddy and Hill, KXAM needs 3 hours of Dennis Miller and one less of the Don and Kim snoozefest. And someone needs to carry Hendrie!
 
Okay to be critical. But what I will never get is how you all want Ankarlo, McMahon, Jacobs, Young, Hayworth, Kid, and Gaydos fired. You moan but have no idea who to put on these stations. We know you think they all suck but I've never heard you say who you like. I don't think the person exists.
 
I like Gale Bass, Barry Young (until he gets smarmy), liked Liebowitz, Mohan, like Bruce Jacobs on sports with Vince, liked Joe Crummey, like Dennis Miller, some of Michael Medved, some of Hugh Hewitt, really like Leo LaPorte's computer show, like Phil Hendrie (even though his new show isn't what the old show was), I think Kid does a pretty good job, I applaud Femino for trying to do an internationally based political show, but don't think that he is the guy to do it.

If there was no one on the radio that I liked, I wouldn't listen would I? And I wouldn't have just sent my beloved Sangean radio in for over 100 bucks of repairs if I didn't care for radio would I?

I echo what Legend City said, for the most part. I do like the Newsroom, even with Pat McMahon. :eek: Pat does a good job with the Newsroom. I still believe Pat needs to give up his show, though. (Sorry Aunt Edna).

Also, I'm still willing to give J.D. a chance with his show. He is incredibly articulate and has potential to have a great show.

I also like Kid Stevens (a.k.a- Darren). ;D
 
Boy, you guys are almost prophetic! McBland returns today with all his flying colors and none other topic than that rascally monsoon!! :D Riveting!!

Is it muggy where you are :)
